How Many Levels Are in BOMBANANA?
BOMBANANA has 30 handcrafted Campaign levels, plus an Endless mode and a Custom mode. The Campaign is a rising difficulty curve rather than 30 scripts to memorise — each new level adds a module, a hazard, or more state to hold at once.
The three routes
- Campaign — 30 levels, increasing difficulty. This is where you learn the game.
- Endless — procedurally generated, wave-based levels that keep getting harder. The question there is how long a team can keep its procedures intact.
- Custom — you set the bomb difficulty, timer, module types, environmental hazards and how many mistakes are allowed. Use it to drill one weak module instead of waiting for a random late-game bomb.
The Campaign difficulty curve
Community walkthroughs describe the curve roughly like this (still being cross-checked against the full release):
| Levels | What they ask |
|---|---|
| 1–7 | Make the basic modules and the relay reliable |
| 8–15 | Absorb medium modules (Symbol, Piano, Soundboard) without rebuilding the plan |
| 16–20 | Survive larger states from Switch and Maze |
| 21–24 | Keep sequence-heavy modules (Morse, Monkey-Says) intact |
| 25–30 | Handle Random Hard pools while Chaos consumes more attention |
The opening timer is 2:30; later bombs give 4:00 or 5:00, but the extra time arrives with more modules and heavier Chaos, so the clock stops being a useful difficulty measure on its own. Levels 1–2 allow one mistake; from level 3 the allowance rises to three.
Chaos hazards start at level 4 and are present in 27 of the 30 levels.
The demo
BOMBANANA has a free demo on Steam. The demo's in-game manual had blank pages that the full release filled in — one reason exact module answer tables are still being verified. The number of levels in the demo is not confirmed here.
Where teams get stuck
The two most-searched sticking points are level 5, where the Calculator module first appears, and a level-7 progression issue covered on the not launching / progress guide.
