BOMBANANA Wires Module

The wires module — sometimes called Cable — is the classic, and usually your first module in BOMBANANA. It looks simple, and the one trap is assuming every wire module works the same way.

What the panel shows

A number of wires with colours running left to right, plus an LED colour on the module.

The callout

The Deaf Monkey calls, in this order:

  1. The number of wires — always first.
  2. The colours from left to right.
  3. The LED colour on the module.

The Mute Monkey matches that to the manual and signals which wire to cut. The Blind Monkey repeats the target back, gets a confirm, and cuts one wire.

A clean wire callout sounds like: "Wires, top right. Four wires. Left to right: green, blue, red, yellow. Red LED. Waiting for the cut."

Why the count comes first

Three wires and four wires can use completely different rules. If you lead with the colours and the manual holder assumes the wrong count, the whole lookup is wrong. Lead with the count every time, and if a colour is uncertain, re-read all of them rather than patching one.

The physical position

When the answer comes back as "the second wire from the left", the Blind confirms which physical wire that is before cutting. Left and right always mean the Blind's left and right, facing the bomb.

What is still unconfirmed

The table that maps wire count, colours and LED to the wire you cut has not been verified for the release build. This page covers reading and calling the module; the cut rule itself is still being confirmed by the community, and a confidently wrong answer key gets a team blown up.
